The media frenzy over the Republican Vice Presidential pick, ultra right wing politician Sarah Palin, refuses to abate. Its no doubt a toxic mix of an intense, highly followed US election year and a lack of information on Palin, clashing with a culture of celebrity, sex and scandal, fueled by a never ending, mass churn news cycle spurned by the Internet.
From political websites to tabloids, society, news, celebrity and political blogs, to the radio and TV news media, all the talk is of the Republicans, John McCain, Sarah Palin, her family and the effect her candidacy as Vice Presidental nominee is having on the US electorate.
Right now that toxic mix and intense focus has become even more toxic. As this blog obtained alleged photos of Sarah Palin from the 1980's to 1990's, other blogs and websites speculated that Trigg Palin, the 5-month-old child of Sarah Palin was actually a child born by Bristol Palin, not Sarah Palin as the family has said. Those rumours were apparently debugged, when the Palin family suddenly announced at the start of the week that Bristol Palin was actually pregnant, at 5-months, to an 18-year-old Alaskan hockey player named Levi Johnston.
Now, more pictures come to light that turns the attention back to the rumour that Trigg Palin is actually the son of Bristol Palin. Myspace photos uncovered just hours ago (at time of writing) pose more questions than answers.
The pictures below are from the now private myspace social networking page of a 17-year-old girl by the name of "Mercede" (http://www.myspace.com/mercedemarie).
This picture, grabbed by bloggers from the Mercede Myspace shows ''Mercede'' (left) with Bristol Palin (right), the 17-year-old daughter of Alaskan governor Sarah Palin, Bristol is now apparently 5-months-pregnant with Levi Johnstons baby.
The caption under this photo on the Myspace page of 'Mercede' says: "My Sister IN-LAW, Oooh how I love her".
Given that the media has now reported Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston are due to marry after it was announced by the McCain-Palin campaign Bristol Palin was pregnant, one would have to assume that 'Mercede' is the sister of Levi Johnston, and she is referring to Bristol Palin as her (near future) sister in law.
Now that this relationship (it should be noted ambiguously and not yet confirmed) has been established, we need to look at some other photos posted on the Mercede Myspace page in order to ask questions about the rumour that 5-month-old Trigg Palin is actually the son of Bristol Palin.
Then there is this picture ALSO found on the Mercede Myspace page: The Governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin on the left with Mercede on the right, holding a new born Trigg Palin in her arms. The caption on the Mercede Myspace page reads: “Mommy Inlaw, Trigg, and myself “…
